A Wraith at Midnight

A Dragonblade Halloween Anthology

The Cat Who Walked Through Walls in the Wraith at Midnight Anthology

Dragonblade Publishing is an all historical romance publishing house which is primarily e-books, though they also do some print and audio. Several of my friends write for Dragonblade and it sounded like fun to be part of an anthology. The Wraith Halloween anthology has ten authors doing short stories in which a ghost will drive characters to their doom, and it must have a romance and a happy ending. I asked Kathryn LaVeque, the founder and chief of the company, if I could have ghost cats and she said, "Sure!" since she's a cat lady herself.

Hence my short story, The Cat Who Walked Through Walls, which includes ghostified versions of my cats Riley the Rogue and Princess Flufferbella, a sweet romance, and the required happy ending. Riley is actually on the cover, shiny black fur and white whiskers and all! It was great fun to write and I hope you enjoy my story and the other varied ghostly romance tales in this anthology.
